WandaVision

What is WandaVision Going to be About? Read on to Know More

Just when we thought the Golden Era of the MCU would end following the exit of big names such as Robert Downey Jr and Chris Evans from the movies, Marvel dropped its plans for Phase 4 of the MCU, which only proved that Marvel is only just beginning to truly expand its cinematic universe.
Alongside a dozen movies or so that are about to release, Marvel also announced 4 TV shows set to release on parent company Disney’s streaming platform – WandaVision, Loki, What If?, and The Falcon and the Winter Soldier.

Of these, WandaVision seems to be the first one set to release, so here’s what we know about the show so far.

WandaVision Release Date

Initially set to release sometime later in 2021, it was recently announced that WandaVision would in fact release in December this year, which is odd considering that during this pandemic all the shows we’ve covered so far have been postponed and not the other way around. We are not complaining, however, because waiting for these shows isn’t as easy as it seems, so the earlier they come, the better.

Meanwhile, we have already been treated to a trailer for the show. You can watch it here:

The Plot

Not much has been revealed about WandaVision’s plot, but from what fans have theorized so far it seems that the show will most likely be set in an alternate reality in which Wanda, unable to cope with Vision’s death, uses her powers to create an imaginary world in which she along with Vision lead a happy life together as a couple. From the trailer, it seems that the show will be shot like a 50’s sitcom.

All that has confirmed is that the events of WandaVision, probably along with those of Loki, will somehow tie up and lead to the beginning of Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness, another promising upcoming MCU movie based on the Sorcerer Supreme.

WandaVision Cast

The characters that have been confirmed so far are:

Wanda Maximoff to be played by Elizabeth Olsen

Vision To be played by Paul Bettany

Doctor Strange to be played by Benedict Cumberbatch

Monica Rambeau to be played by Teyonah Parris

Darcy Lewis to be played by Kat Dennings

Where to Watch it
