Violet Evergarden serves a lot for all anime enthusiasts out there with its exciting plot. The anime is based on a light novel series. After the first season was aired, the show had received many positive feedbacks. However, no official announcement is made regarding the release date of the series. The new season was expected to launch on April 24, 2020, but it was postponed to 18 September 2020. While this is excellent news for fans, this is just a speculation as the current situation has put a barrier on the progress of many films.
The first season was debuted from January 11, 2018, to April 5, 2018. Reiko Yoshida is the writer of the series. Taichi Ishidate directs it. The original language of the series is English. The series has launched one season with 13 episodes. A spin-off film was also created in 2019.
Overview
Violet Evergarden is the protagonist of this sequence. She was an ex- female soldier who then becomes an automobile memory doll. She was employed by Dr. Orland to help his blind wife Mollie to write her novels. Later, she was used by others for service. The war is over, and now Violet has to return to society. She was no longer a soldier and so reintegrating back to the normal company was hard. However, she has to figure out the purpose of her life through her new journey. She also wants to figure out the meaning of the last words of her former commander, which was “I love you”.
Season two might focus on Major Gilbert and Violet. She has now figured out her emotions and feeling. Although Gilbert had died at the beginning of the season, fans are expecting a return either through flashbacks or even at present. The last season had a mysterious client who is suspected as Gilbert. The team has however, kept Violet Evergarden two under wraps to avoid speculations and rumors.
